announced today that it has completed
development of the newest release of its OFFSite
ArchiveTM for NetWare product.
Acquired as a result of a license and
distribution agreement between CaminoSoft Corp.
and Legato Systems Inc. (BUSINESSWIRE, January
28, 2003), OFFSite Archive is the first of a
suite of High Availability Products to be
enhanced and released under the CaminoSoft name.
OFFSite Archive 3.0
provides a solution for offsite
disaster-recovery for Novell server-based
networks. The enhanced software operates
seamlessly with the NetWare operating system to
extend electronic data vaulting to the general
networking market place. Providing reliable and
economical disaster recovery/data protection for
new and existing NetWare servers, OFFSite
Archive offers: Protection for mission-critical
network servers and data through electronic data
vaulting, Rapid disaster recovery of data
maintained in a known state at a remote site,
Open file or database data vaulting (backups can
be done locally and/or remotely – any time of
the day or night), Usage of industry-standard
hardware and software, and a flexible choice of
communication links – LAN, WAN or Internet. By
maintaining asynchronous replicas of
mission-critical enterprise data in a secure,
offsite location, organizations can be assured
that their critical data files are continuously
protected and always available. OFFSite Archive
3.0 can be configured to fit varying needs. A
single OFFSite Archive 3.0 target data vault
server can support multiple source/production
servers and source/production servers can be
configured to replicate to multiple target data
vault servers for added protection. OFFSite
Archive 3.0 offers support for NetWare versions
4.X, 5.X and 6.X.
