that its ILM suite for NetWare 6.5 now incorporates an integrated, native Common Internet File System (CIFS) client. The CIFS
enhancement, included in CaminoSoft’s Managed Server HSM™ v5.2 for NetWare, improves integration, interoperability, and support
for organizations running a mixture of Novell and Microsoft servers.
Managed Server HSM software provides a cost-effective solution for reducing IT overhead, managing growing storage requirements,
reclaiming costly high-performance SAN space, reducing backup and recovery time, and facilitating file retention and compliance.
Based on administrator-defined policies, CaminoSoft’s software automatically relocates seldom-accessed files from high-performance
disk to lower-cost storage pools, including S/ATA RAID disk arrays, general-purpose file servers, NAS targets, and optical and tape
libraries. From a user’s perspective, these operations are transparent.
