a leading provider of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solutions for Microsoft Windows 200X and Novell NetWare & GroupWise environments, today announced that they have completed certification testing of nStor’s SATA-based storage platforms with CaminoSoft’s ILM software suite.
The resulting solution utilizes CaminoSoft's Managed Server software HSM™ software and the NexStorŽ 4700 Serial ATA (SATA) system to enhance the speed, reliability, and availability of data, without changing existing infrastructure. This certification will better enable customers to achieve a lower total cost of storage, and increased data availability while also providing a high level of management and protection for data intensive applications.
Managing data intelligently, growing storage infrastructure cost-effectively, and providing users with immediate access to all of their files are real world challenges. Managed Server HSM provides a straightforward solution for administering and handling these complexities. Combined with the reliability, ease-of-use, and competitive pricing of nStor solutions, Managed Server HSM software provides for a powerful tool for automatically migrating data from SAN or DAS subsystems to central storage pool resources, such as nStor’s NexStor and OneStorTM systems. This results in a dramatic reduction in the amount of time needed for backup or recovery and reclamation of costly high-performance storage capacity for active files.
"nStor continues to provide fully interoperable, highly scalable solutions through successful product certifications with differentiated solutions such as CaminoSoft’s HSM software," said Lisa Hart, nStor’s executive vice president of marketing and alliances. "Joint certifications such as this ensure quality and compatibility of key elements in an IT environment to ensure protection and management of vital business information."
"CaminoSoft’s collaboration with nStor reflects our ongoing commitment to certify our ILM software with advanced network storage products such as nStor’s NexStor and OneStor systems,” said Steve Crosson, CaminoSoft’s chief operating officer. “By offering products based on Fibre, SAS, SCSI, and SATA technologies, nStor gives organizations a broad range of choices for cost-effectively protecting data in their storage-intensive applications.”
nStor's products and services support data networks utilizing advanced technologies. These products include nStor's NexStor and newly introduced OneStor platform of products that include Fibre, SAS, SCSI and SATA platforms and StorView storage management software. The Company's products protect data across a multitude of storage-intensive applications, such as finance, healthcare and video. As a result, nStor's solutions form the storage foundation for businesses of all sizes as well as government agencies and universities worldwide. Combining nStor’s StorView management tools and the power of integrated platforms allows for simple, intelligent and affordable networked storage while requiring no specialized expertise to install and manage.
Both nStor and CaminoSoft's storage solutions lower storage costs and complexity, producing a greater return on IT investments. nStor's NexStor storage line is currently deployed across a broad spectrum of applications, including video streaming and editing, investment banking, healthcare, government and military applications. The modular systems ease incremental growth and provide the performance to easily meet the most rigorous data environments. CaminoSoft's industry-recognized Managed Server HSM for Windows 2000/2003 and NetWare solutions are deployed worldwide.
